Hi, I’m Judd A. Mellinger-Blouch, the JAMB in JAMB Opening Doors. I’ve been working in healthcare since 1986. Yup, that long. And, no, I did not have a computer or email when I started. It was heavenly.

During my nearly 40 years in healthcare a lot has changed. But one thing remains the same… without a dedicated, well-trained, and highly engaged and motivated professional workforce, healthcare just doesn’t exist.
If your organization is struggling to recruit and retain healthcare professionals, I can help. From 2014 to 2024 I directed the Pennsylvania Primary Care Career Center, serving the Community Health Centers of Pennsylvania with their workforce issues. Prior to that I spent 20 years working with physicians, residents and medical students at the Pennsylvania Medical Society. I started my career in healthcare in public relations at Community General Osteopathic Hospital (now UPMC Community Osteopathic) in suburban Harrisburg.
I have a degree in journalism from Penn State main campus and a masters in public administration from Penn State Capital Campus.
But most of my knowledge comes from years of experience. I can help your organization:
- Develop a workforce strategic plan
- Build health professional education programs and connections
- Improve your employer brand
- Engage and motivate your workforce
- Improve employee communications
